"In June 2006, the American Baptist Association met in Daytona Beach. We used more than 500 rooms at the beautiful Hilton Daytona Beach Oceanfront Resort. The adjacent Peabody Auditorium was perfect for our general sessions. Sally Gardiner, CVB Director of Sales, and her staff at the Daytona Beach Area Convention and Visitors Bureau were the greatest to work with. I highly recommend Daytona Beach for a successful meeting."

"The Daytona Beach CVB staff members are very professional, responsive, creative, and they offer amazing service to our society and our members. They have really become a part of our team and care as much about our meeting’s details as I do. I couldn’t have had such successful meetings without their support!"

"Daytona Beach was the ideal setting for our 2007 Food Industry Truck Driving Championship. Our attendees enjoyed the winning combination of a great hotel property with wonderful amenities right on the beach (The Shores Resort & Spa), and the high speed excitement at the nearby Speedway and the Daytona 500 Experience. From a planner’s perspective, the CVB, hotel and Daytona 500 Experience staff -- as well as the area vendors I used -- partnered with me to make the event top notch. The area services were well priced, the vendor staff members were responsive and flexible in meeting our unique needs, the support of all parties involved throughout all the stages of planning and preparation was strong, and the execution at the event went just as planned right to the finish line!"

"The 2008 NASA Project Management Challenge, held February 26-27, 2008 at the Hilton Daytona Beach Oceanfront Resort, marked the fifth anniversary of the conference. Due to the hard work of our planning team, our facility partners and the Daytona Beach Area CVB, the event was a huge success. The Daytona Beach was perfect in so many ways, and it presented a great opportunity to partner with Kennedy Space Center. At each year’s conference we attempt to create a collaborative learning environment where knowledge sharing can take place, and this year’s theme, ‘Reach Higher,’ was one of our most successful ever. Nearly 1,200 NASA stakeholders came together to connect and explore current trends in program and project management. In addition, through the CVB’s many community contacts, we enabled over 500 Daytona Beach middle school students to interact with former NASA astronauts and view some pretty amazing presentations and videos.

The facility was excellent, the meetings ran smoothly, and it was a great event overall. We highly recommend Daytona Beach as a meeting destination, and we look forward to our next conference in Daytona Beach. We’re coming back to the Hilton Daytona Beach Oceanfront Resort February 24-25, 2009!"

"Student Life has had the pleasure of hosting one of our many summer events in Daytona Beach since 2004. Sally Gardiner and her team at the Daytona Beach CVB, the Ocean Center and numerous nearby hotels have done an incredible job partnering with Student Life in Ministry to give the best possible experience to our groups. Since 2004, they have helped provide a successful event to over 17, 500 participants! Many have returned a second or third time. It’s an amazing experience to work with people throughout the year who recognize your name when you call and are genuinely excited to host your groups. They want to offer you and your guests the best possible experience and deliver! The people in Daytona 'get it.' They understand what draws people back to the area and they continue improving the area to make it a desirable destination for special events."

"The Daytona Beach CVB was an excellent resource in helping me plan MapFrame Corporation's Annual Users Conference. The CVB organized a complete itinerary for my first trip to Daytona Beach including site visits of hotels, golf courses, Daytona International Speedway and a personalized your of the Daytona Beach area. I was worried at first that I would be pushed in a particular direction because of existing business relationships, but I feel that the CVB showed me a complete, un-biased view of what Daytona Beach had to offer. They acted as a moderator when I needed them to, but were quick to step out of the way when it was time for me to work directly with vendors. I can honestly say the Daytona Beach CVB was vital to the success of my program. "
